About the Adventure

This expedition takes you from Bishkek into the heart of Kyrgyzstan's winter mountains. The convoy moves through snow-covered valleys, frozen lakes and remote routes shaped by extreme cold and shifting terrain.

You will drive on the frozen surfaces of Orto-Tokoi and Ara Kol, visit the ancient stone fortress of Tash Rabat, and explore the dramatic Kel-Suu Lake, surrounded by towering cliffs and frozen canyons at over 3,000 m elevation.

Expect an average of 200 to 350 km per day and 4 to 8 hours of snow and ice off-road driving, depending on weather and snow depth.

The experience focuses on self-driving, convoy movement, winter techniques, frozen-lake driving, sunrise stops and cinematic photography.
All guided and supported by the professional Dunes to Glaciers team.
