The idea for Dunes to Glaciers was born far from cities and comfort, deep in the wilderness where silence meets sand. It began with a solo overlanding expedition that stretched more than 24,000 kilometers across continents — a journey that started in the golden deserts of Arabia and ended beneath the northern lights of the Arctic Circle.
A Journey Across Continents
Setting out from Dubai with nothing but curiosity and determination, I crossed the Empty Quarter Desert and its endless dunes, climbed the Caucasus Mountains, traversed the volcanic slopes of Mount Elbrus, and pushed north through forests, rivers, and frozen lakes until reaching Murmansk, the edge of the Arctic.
Each horizon revealed something new. Temperatures shifted from 50°C desert heat to -10°C arctic cold, the whisper of sand became the silence of ice, and the familiar roads disappeared into uncharted trails. I camped under starlit skies, beside icy rivers, and within wild forests alive with bears, gazelles, and deer. Every kilometer tested patience, endurance, and freedom — teaching lessons that no map could offer.

That expedition changed everything. It was raw, humbling, and profoundly beautiful — a reminder that adventure is not a destination but a way of living. Somewhere between the dunes and the glaciers, the idea for Dunes to Glaciers was born.
